Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Titrated Extract of Centella Asiatica (TECA) is a standardized botanical extract developed and manufactured by Guangxi Changzhou Natural Pharmaceutical. It is a highly purified pharmaceutical raw material derived from the *Centella asiatica* plant, containing a specific ratio of active triterpenes: 36-44% asiaticoside and 54-66% of the genins asiatic acid and madecassic acid. TECA is primarily used for its potent wound-healing and anti-inflammatory properties. It works by stimulating fibroblast proliferation and increasing the synthesis of extracellular matrix proteins, particularly Type I and Type III collagen. Clinically, it is indicated for the treatment of wounds, burns, hypertrophic scars, and chronic venous insufficiency, and it is also a common ingredient in high-end dermo-cosmetic formulations for skin repair and anti-aging.
