Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TIVY-IB is an **Instituto Butantan trivalent seasonal influenza vaccine** used as an active comparator in clinical studies of the Butantan quadrivalent influenza vaccine. It is an egg-derived, inactivated split-virion vaccine containing two influenza A strains and an influenza B strain from the **Yamagata lineage**. The vaccine is intended to induce strain-specific humoral immune responses, including hemagglutination-inhibition antibodies, to prevent influenza illness. TIVY-IB was evaluated as a comparator in completed Phase 3 studies in Brazil. ([ichgcp.net](https://ichgcp.net/clinical-trials-registry/NCT03927131))
