Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TJ12-NP is a glypican-3 (GPC3)-targeted nanoparticle developed for image-guided liver cancer surgery. GPC3 is a tumor-associated antigen highly expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and certain metastatic liver cancers, but absent in normal hepatocytes. TJ12-NP can be labeled with imaging agents such as Cy5 or indocyanine green (ICG) to enable high-contrast tumor visualization and fluorescence-guided tumor resection. In preclinical studies using patient-derived liver organoids and in vivo mouse models, TJ12-NP demonstrated strong, tumor-selective accumulation and facilitated complete fluorescence-guided resection of GPC3-positive tumors.
