TJC0265 is a small molecule autotaxin (ATX) inhibitor developed by TaiwanJ Pharmaceuticals. It is designed to treat chronic organ inflammation and fibrotic conditions by reducing the production of lysophosphatidic acid (LPA), a bioactive lipid mediator that drives inflammatory and fibrotic signaling through specific G protein-coupled receptors. By inhibiting the enzymatic activity of autotaxin (also known as ectonucleotide pyrophosphatase/phosphodiesterase 2), TJC0265 disrupts the conversion of lysophosphatidylcholine into LPA. The drug is currently in Phase 1 clinical development, with a primary focus on kidney-related pathological injury (KPI) and other inflammatory indications.
