Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TJO-087 is a 0.08% nanoemulsion formulation of cyclosporine A (CsA) developed for the treatment of dry eye disease. It is designed to improve ocular tolerability and achieve therapeutic efficacy with a lower concentration compared to conventional CsA formulations[1][4]. Cyclosporine A acts as an immunosuppressant by inhibiting calcineurin, thereby suppressing T cell activation and reducing inflammation on the ocular surface[8]. Clinical studies have shown that once-daily administration of TJO-087 provides significant improvement in symptoms and signs of dry eye disease, with tolerability comparable to standard CsA treatments[1][4]. The drug is being developed by Taejoon Pharm.
