Overview

TK006 is a biosimilar of denosumab developed for the treatment of conditions related to bone loss and metastases. Denosumab is a human monoclonal antibody that targets and inhibits RANK ligand (RANKL), a key mediator in the formation, function, and survival of osteoclasts—the cells responsible for bone resorption. By inhibiting RANKL, denosumab reduces bone breakdown and increases bone mass and strength. The primary indications for denosumab (and its biosimilars) include osteoporosis, treatment-induced bone loss, prevention of skeletal-related events in patients with bone metastases from solid tumors, multiple myeloma-associated bone disease, and giant cell tumor of the bone. Clinical studies have evaluated TK006 specifically in patients with breast cancer-related bone metastases[1][2][3][4].
