TKC cells, also known as autologous tumor killer cells, are a cell therapy product composed of a patient's own innate immune effector cells—specifically natural killer (NK) cells and gamma delta T (γδT) cells. These immune cell populations are isolated from the patient, expanded or activated ex vivo, and then reinfused to target and kill cancer cells. The mechanism of action relies on the cytotoxic activity of NK and γδT lymphocytes against tumor targets without prior antigen sensitization. This approach is being investigated for its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in treating cancers such as neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2)[1][4].
