Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TL-118 is a proprietary, oral antiangiogenic drug combination developed for the treatment of cancer. It consists of four well-known active pharmaceutical ingredients: a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent (diclofenac), an alkylating agent (cyclophosphamide), a histamine H2 antagonist (cimetidine), and a sulfonamide (sulfasalazine). The combination is designed to inhibit tumor angiogenesis by targeting multiple non-overlapping pathways involved in new blood vessel formation, thereby restricting tumor growth and metastasis. All components are approved drugs administered in an oral suspension to maximize patient convenience and compliance. Preclinical studies have shown that TL-118 can significantly suppress tumor growth and prolong survival in animal models of aggressive cancers such as neuroblastoma and colorectal liver metastases. Clinical development has focused on solid tumors including metastatic pancreatic cancer and prostate cancer[1][2][3][5][6][8].
