Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TLB001 is a proprietary small molecule inhibitor of casein kinase 1 delta and epsilon (CK1 δ/ε) being developed by TianLi Biotech, a joint venture between the University of Melbourne and Beijing No.1 Biotechnology Group. The drug is designed to treat idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) by modulating downstream TGF-β signaling pathways, thereby suppressing the fibrotic process. TLB001 is formulated as an inhaled aerosol solution for direct delivery to the lungs, which aims to maximize local therapeutic efficacy while minimizing systemic adverse effects often seen with oral anti-fibrotic treatments. In August 2024, TLB001 advanced into Phase I clinical trials in Australia to assess its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy volunteers.
