Tllsh-2910 is a small molecule drug developed by National Taiwan University for the treatment of neurodegenerative and autoimmune diseases. Its primary mechanism of action is as a modulator of the NMDA (N-methyl-D-aspartate) receptor, which plays a key role in synaptic transmission and plasticity in the central nervous system. The drug has been investigated primarily for multiple system atrophy (MSA), cerebellar ataxia, Shy-Drager syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, Friedreich ataxia, and intestinal diseases. Preclinical studies indicated that Tllsh-2910 could attenuate ataxic gait in animal models by modulating cerebellar NMDA receptors involved in motor learning and coordination. Clinical development reached Phase 3 trials for MSA and related disorders but was terminated before completion[1][2][3][7].
