Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TLM-017 is an investigational recombinant human lactoferrin (rhLF) ophthalmic solution developed by ROHTO Pharmaceutical for the treatment of ocular graft-versus-host disease (oGVHD). Lactoferrin is a multifunctional glycoprotein that plays a key role in the innate immune system, exhibiting potent anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, and antimicrobial properties. In patients with oGVHD, which often occurs following hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, severe ocular surface inflammation and dry eye symptoms are common. TLM-017 is designed to mitigate this inflammation and promote the healing of the ocular surface. The drug has been evaluated in exploratory clinical studies in Japan to assess its safety and preliminary efficacy at various concentrations.
