Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TLX593-Px is a novel radiopharmaceutical PET imaging agent designed to target Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA). It is developed using the AlFluor platform, which utilizes an aluminum-fluoride (AlF) chemistry to enable the rapid, one-step radiolabeling of molecules with Fluorine-18 (18F). This approach combines the high-resolution imaging characteristics of 18F with the specificity of PSMA-targeting ligands. The agent was acquired by Telix Pharmaceuticals through a strategic agreement with University Hospital Ghent and Ghent University, which provided Telix with a comprehensive CMC package and clinical data from a Phase 3 trial. TLX593-Px is primarily intended for the detection, staging, and monitoring of prostate cancer.
