Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The **TM4SF5 epitope-CpG-DNA-liposome complex** is a research-stage therapeutic cancer peptide vaccine comprising the human TM4SF5 extracellular-loop epitope hTM4SF5R2-3, a phosphodiester CpG oligodeoxynucleotide immunostimulant, and the DOPE:CHEMS liposomal complex Lipoplex(O). It is designed to induce a Th1-biased, CD4+ T-cell-dependent anti-TM4SF5 antibody response, including peptide-specific IgG2a, against TM4SF5-expressing tumor cells. In mouse studies, the formulation showed prophylactic and therapeutic antitumor activity in hepatocellular carcinoma models and was subsequently evaluated in colon cancer and pancreatic cancer allograft models. It has no known INN, sponsor development code, commercial manufacturer, or marketed brand and remains preclinical. ([ncbi.nlm.nih.gov](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3299740/))
