Overview

tMageA1-ASC is a preclinical protein subunit vaccine developed by Vaccizone for the treatment of melanoma. It utilizes the company's proprietary ASC-Speck technology, which involves fusing a truncated version of the melanoma-associated antigen MAGE-A1 (tMageA1) to the ASC (Apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a CARD) protein. ASC naturally forms large, highly stable protein aggregates known as "specks" that act as potent inflammasome activators. By presenting the MAGE-A1 antigen on these ASC specks, the vaccine aims to enhance antigen uptake by dendritic cells and trigger a robust T-cell mediated immune response against MAGE-A1-expressing tumor cells.
