TMED3 siRNA is a small interfering RNA designed to silence the expression of the Transmembrane p24 trafficking protein 3 (TMED3) gene. TMED3 is a member of the p24 family involved in protein trafficking between the endoplasmic reticulum and the Golgi apparatus. In the context of oncology, particularly breast cancer, TMED3 is often overexpressed and associated with poor prognosis, tumor progression, and immune suppression. By utilizing RNA interference (RNAi), TMED3 siRNA reduces TMED3 mRNA levels, leading to decreased protein expression. Research indicates that knockdown of TMED3 inhibits the migratory and invasive capacities of cancer cells and may modulate the tumor immune microenvironment by influencing the infiltration of immune cells and the expression of immune checkpoint genes.
