TMEM45A siRNA is an experimental research reagent and small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to silence the expression of the TMEM45A (Transmembrane Protein 45A) gene. It is utilized in preclinical laboratory studies to investigate the role of TMEM45A in cancer progression, hypoxia-induced chemoresistance, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). Research has demonstrated that knockdown of TMEM45A via siRNA inhibits cell proliferation, migration, and invasion, and increases drug-induced apoptosis in cancer cell lines, such as triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and hepatocellular carcinoma. TMEM45A siRNA is not currently in clinical development as a therapeutic drug candidate.
