Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TML-NAL-22 is a preclinical pharmaceutical candidate being developed by Themis Medicare. It is a ready-to-use (RTU) injectable formulation of a proton-pump inhibitor (PPI). As a PPI, the drug's primary mechanism of action involves the irreversible inhibition of the gastric H+/K+-ATPase (proton pump) in the parietal cells of the stomach, which is the final step in gastric acid secretion. Themis Medicare specializes in Novel Drug Delivery Systems (NDDS) and specialized injectable formulations, and TML-NAL-22 is designed as a stable, ready-to-use injection to simplify administration and reduce preparation errors in clinical settings. It is currently in the preclinical stage of development for indications requiring rapid or parenteral acid suppression.
