Overview

TML-NAP-22 is a ready-to-use (RTU) injectable formulation of a proton-pump inhibitor (PPI), likely sodium pantoprazole, developed by Themis Medicare. Utilizing a Novel Drug Delivery System (NDDS), this product is designed as a stable, pre-mixed solution for intravenous administration, which eliminates the need for reconstitution at the point of care, thereby reducing the risk of dosing errors and microbial contamination. The drug functions by covalently binding to the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system (the gastric proton pump) in the parietal cells of the stomach, leading to the irreversible inhibition of gastric acid secretion. TML-NAP-22 is intended for the management of acid-related gastrointestinal disorders such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and pathological hypersecretory conditions like Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, particularly in hospital settings where rapid and convenient administration is required.
