Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tmod is a logic-gated cell therapy system designed as a NOT gate, which responds to the presence of a specific antigen (Antigen A) and the absence of another antigen (Antigen B). This system typically comprises an activator, such as a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR), and an inhibitory receptor or blocker. Its primary application is in tumor-selective immunotherapy, aiming to enhance the specificity and safety of cell-based treatments by precisely controlling T cell activation based on the tumor microenvironment. The system is optimized through high-throughput screening technologies that utilize fluorescence-activated cell sorters and fluorescent reporters to identify and refine functional blockers and inducible boosters, ultimately leading to improved therapeutic behavior.
