TMV-018 + anti-PD-1

TMV-018 + anti-PD-1 is a combination investigational therapy for cancer, specifically gastrointestinal tumors. TMV-018 is a recombinant, attenuated oncolytic measles virus encoding the prodrug converting enzyme super cytosine deaminase (SCD). This allows the virus to convert an administered prodrug (such as 5-fluorocytosine) into a cytotoxic agent within tumor cells, leading to selective tumor cell death. The addition of an anti-PD-1 checkpoint inhibitor aims to enhance antitumor immune responses by blocking the PD-1 pathway and promoting T-cell mediated immunity against cancer cells.
