Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TMX-202 is a **novel small molecule immunomodulator** designed as a selective **Toll-like receptor 7 (TLR7) agonist**. It is characterized by a saturated phospholipid motif with two C12 alkyl chains, enabling **strong and selective TLR7 activation**. This results in a **prolonged but reversible cytokine response** and enhanced anti-tumor immune activity in both preclinical in vitro and in vivo models. TMX-202 has demonstrated superior **potency and tolerability** compared to imiquimod (Aldara) for topical treatment of skin cancers and other dermatological conditions, as well as potential use via intravesical administration for **non-muscle invasive bladder cancer**. TMX-202 exhibits **low systemic absorption** when administered locally, reducing systemic cytokine release and adverse effects[1][3][5][7][8]. **Developer:** Telormedix **Primary indications:** non-muscle invasive bladder cancer, actinic keratosis, genital warts, skin cancer.
