TN-1001 is a preclinical gene therapy candidate developed by TransGenex Nanobiotech for the treatment of ovarian cancer. Identified using the company's proprietary Functional in-vivo Stem cell Screening (FiSS) platform, the drug is designed to target and inhibit cancer stem cells (CSCs). Its mechanism of action involves the inhibition of specific signaling pathways that regulate the interactions between tumor cells and the surrounding stroma, thereby disrupting the maintenance and self-renewal of the CSC population.
