TNK1 siRNA is a double-stranded RNA molecule designed to silence the expression of the Tyrosine Kinase Non-Receptor 1 (TNK1) gene through the RNA interference (RNAi) pathway. TNK1, also known as Kos1, is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that has been implicated as an oncogenic driver in various malignancies, including Hodgkin lymphoma and certain subsets of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). By binding to the TNK1 messenger RNA (mRNA) and inducing its degradation, TNK1 siRNA prevents the translation of the TNK1 protein, thereby inhibiting downstream signaling pathways such as STAT3 and AKT that promote cell survival and proliferation. While primarily utilized as a research tool to validate TNK1 as a therapeutic target, siRNA-based approaches against TNK1 are being explored for their potential to treat cancers characterized by TNK1 overactivation or gene fusions.
