Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TNM006 is a recombinant fully human monoclonal antibody developed by Trinomab BioPharm for the prevention and treatment of human cytomegalovirus (hCMV) infection, particularly in immunosuppressed patients such as those undergoing organ transplantation. The antibody targets the glycoprotein B (gB) of hCMV, a key protein involved in viral entry. By binding to gB, TNM006 neutralizes the virus and inhibits the fusion between the viral envelope and host cell membranes. It was discovered using the proprietary HitmAb® platform, which isolates native human antibodies to reduce the risk of immunogenicity. TNM006 received Investigational New Drug (IND) approval from the China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in May 2023 and is administered via intravenous injection.
