Overview

TNM050 is a fully human monoclonal antibody being developed for the post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) of rabies virus infection. It specifically targets the rabies virus G protein (glycoprotein), the primary surface protein responsible for viral attachment and entry into host cells. By binding to this protein, TNM050 neutralizes the virus and prevents its progression into the central nervous system. The candidate was originally part of a co-development agreement with China Medical System (CMS) under the code CMS-K007 but is now being advanced independently by Trinomab BioPharm. TNM050 is intended to serve as a standardized, recombinant alternative to traditional rabies immunoglobulins (RIG) derived from human or equine plasma, offering improved safety, consistency, and scalability for rabies prevention.
