TNX-103

TNX-103 is a proprietary oral formulation of levosimendan, developed by Tenax Therapeutics for the treatment of pulmonary hypertension associated with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (PH-HFpEF). Levosimendan is a potassium ATP channel activator and calcium sensitizer that acts on the heart and vascular system through multiple mechanisms, including modulation of calcium binding proteins, phosphodiesterase inhibition, and potassium channel activation. The drug aims to improve exercise capacity and hemodynamics in PH-HFpEF patients—a population with significant unmet medical need and no currently approved therapies.
