TNX-4200

TNX-4200 is a small molecule, oral, broad-spectrum antiviral drug candidate developed by Tonix Pharmaceuticals. It targets CD45, a protein tyrosine phosphatase found on the surface of leukocytes. By inhibiting CD45 phosphatase activity, TNX-4200 acts as a host-directed antiviral agent with the potential to reduce endogenous levels of CD45 and protect against infection from a wide range of RNA viruses, including coronaviruses and filoviruses. The drug is being developed for use as both monotherapy and in combination with other antivirals to prevent or treat viral infections and improve medical readiness in biological threat environments[1][2][3][4][5][7]. As of June 2025, it remains in preclinical development.
