TNX-4700

TNX-4700 is an antagonistic monoclonal antibody targeting B and T lymphocyte attenuator (BTLA), currently in preclinical development by Tonix Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of various cancers. BTLA is an immune checkpoint molecule that, when bound to its ligand herpesvirus entry mediator (HVEM), suppresses T-cell activation and immune responses. By antagonizing BTLA, TNX-4700 aims to disrupt this inhibitory signaling pathway, thereby enhancing anti-tumor immunity. The antibody is human/cynomolgus cross-reactive and was licensed from Curia. Preclinical data suggests high-affinity binding and potent functional antagonism, particularly in tumor microenvironments where HVEM is upregulated and correlates with reduced overall survival.
