TO-O-1003

TO-O-1003 is an investigational small molecule ophthalmic solution being developed by Theratocular Biotek for the treatment of dry eye disease (DED). Developed via the 505(b)(2) regulatory pathway, the drug is a repurposed formulation of an active pharmaceutical ingredient that has been previously approved for systemic use in multiple countries. TO-O-1003 is characterized by a unique dual-action mechanism that simultaneously promotes tear secretion and exerts anti-inflammatory effects on the ocular surface. This approach is intended to address both the underlying inflammation and the insufficient tear production associated with dry eye, potentially providing rapid relief of symptoms. As of early 2026, the candidate is in the preclinical stage of development.
