TOB1 siRNA is a small interfering RNA designed to target and knock down the expression of the Transducer of ERBB2, 1 (TOB1) gene. In preclinical studies, TOB1 siRNA has been utilized to investigate the role of TOB1 in cell survival, cell cycle regulation, and therapy resistance. Specifically, in estrogen-independent estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) breast cancer models, knockdown of TOB1 using TOB1 siRNA significantly inhibits cell growth, reduces DNA replication, blocks the G1 to S phase transition, and induces DNA damage. Additionally, in lung cancer models, TOB1 siRNA has been shown to modulate radiosensitivity via the MAPK/ERK signaling pathway. TOB1 siRNA is primarily utilized as a research-use-only tool to study tumor suppression and cell cycle dynamics.
