Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Tocilizumab-conjugated cisplatin nanoparticles** are an investigational lipid-polymer hybrid nanomedicine designated **LPC-TCZ**. The formulation encapsulates the platinum chemotherapeutic cisplatin and is surface-functionalized with tocilizumab, an anti-interleukin-6 receptor monoclonal antibody. It was reported in preclinical non-small-cell lung cancer models to combine cisplatin-mediated DNA damage with IL-6 receptor blockade, thereby suppressing IL-6/STAT3-associated epithelial-mesenchymal transition, cancer stem-cell features, chemoresistance, tumor growth, and metastasis.
