Overview

TolDCB29 is an autologous cell therapy product consisting of mature tolerogenic monocyte-derived dendritic cells that are loaded with the B29 peptide derived from heat shock protein 70 (HSP70). The therapy is designed to induce immune tolerance by stimulating regulatory T-lymphocytes, aiming to restore immune balance in autoimmune diseases. It is being developed primarily for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, where it seeks to reduce joint inflammation and destruction by promoting antigen-specific immune tolerance rather than broad immunosuppression. The product is administered via intranodal injection and has been evaluated in a phase 1/2 open-label, dose-escalation clinical trial for safety and feasibility in patients with rheumatoid arthritis[1][2][3][4][5].
