toludesvenlafaxine

Toludesvenlafaxine is a novel antidepressant developed by Luye Pharma Group, approved in China for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD). It is marketed under the brand name Ruoxinlin. Toludesvenlafaxine acts as a serotonin–norepinephrine–dopamine reuptake inhibitor (SNDRI), inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin (5-HT), norepinephrine (NE), and dopamine (DA) in the central nervous system, thereby increasing their synaptic concentrations. This mechanism distinguishes it from traditional SNRIs by also targeting dopamine reuptake. The drug is considered a prodrug of desvenlafaxine with an additional methylbenzoate group that confers dopaminergic activity[1][8]. Clinical trials have demonstrated its efficacy and safety for MDD, with significant improvements in depressive symptoms, anxiety, cognitive function, and low impact on sexual function[2][4][7].
