Overview
Tomex Plus is a herbal combination supplement developed and manufactured by Atos Pharma, a subsidiary of the SEKEM Group. The product is formulated with dried garlic powder (*Allium sativum*) and Hawthorn leaf and flower extract (*Crataegus oxyacantha*). It is primarily indicated for cardiovascular support, including the management of mild hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and the prevention of atherosclerosis. The therapeutic effects are derived from the synergistic action of its components: garlic provides antithrombotic and lipid-lowering properties by inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase and improving nitric oxide bioavailability, while hawthorn acts as a cardiotonic agent by increasing coronary blood flow and myocardial contractility through the inhibition of phosphodiesterases and antioxidant activity.
