Tong Ren Tang Shilintong Granules is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulated as granules, primarily developed and manufactured by Beijing Tong Ren Tang. The sole active ingredient is the extract of *Desmodium styracifolium* (Guang Jin Qian Cao / Coin-leaved Desmodium). It is traditionally used to clear damp-heat, promote diuresis, and expel urinary calculi. Its primary indications include urinary tract stones (urolithiasis), pyelonephritis, and cholecystitis. The herbal extract works through multiple mechanisms, including promoting urination to help flush out stones, exerting anti-inflammatory and anti-infective effects in the urinary tract, and relaxing smooth muscles to ease the passage of calculi.
