Overview
**TongBi Capsule** is an orally administered traditional Chinese medicine product developed by Shandong Runzhong Pharmaceutical for joint disease. It has been evaluated in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled post-marketing Phase 3 study in adults with knee osteoarthritis. In an ovalbumin-induced rabbit rheumatoid arthritis model, oral TongBi Capsule reduced knee swelling and local temperature, improved synovial and cartilage pathology, and was associated with lower serum interleukin-1 and tumor necrosis factor-alpha concentrations. Its precise active-ingredient composition and direct molecular targets were not established in the available public sources.
