tongjiangjieyu decoction

Tongjiangjieyu decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by Guang'anmen Hospital of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. It is specifically indicated for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), particularly in patients presenting with liver-stomach disharmony and emotional stagnation. The formula is designed to soothe the liver, harmonize the stomach, and descend rebellious qi. Pharmacologically, it is thought to improve esophageal motility, increase lower esophageal sphincter pressure, and protect the esophageal mucosa from acid-induced damage.
