Overview
Tongqiao Biyan Granules is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation widely used in China for the treatment of allergic rhinitis, acute sinusitis, and related upper respiratory tract conditions. The granules are composed of multiple herbal ingredients designed to dispel wind, clear away heat, disperse lung qi, and relieve nasal congestion. Mechanistically, network pharmacology and molecular docking studies suggest that the formula acts through anti-inflammatory pathways and immune modulation relevant to allergic rhinitis[4][8]. Clinical trials have evaluated its effectiveness in moderate to severe persistent allergic rhinitis as well as in children with asthma-associated allergic rhinitis[2][5]. The product is typically administered orally as granules dissolved in water.
