Overview
Tongqiao Jingxuan Granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) developed by Jiuhua Huayuan Pharmaceutical for the treatment of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). Formulated as an innovative TCM (Class 1.1), it is designed to address the TCM syndrome of liver yang transforming into wind (肝阳化风), which is clinically associated with symptoms such as dizziness, vertigo, and nausea. The drug is intended to alleviate vertigo symptoms and reduce residual dizziness following canalith repositioning maneuvers. It received marketing approval from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in late 2023 based on clinical trials demonstrating its efficacy in improving recovery rates and symptom scores in BPPV patients.
