Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tongren Wuji Baifeng Pill is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation produced by Beijing Tong Ren Tang, a renowned pharmaceutical company established in 1669. The formulation is a complex mixture of approximately 20 ingredients, including Black-boned chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus), Ginseng (Panax ginseng), Rehmannia (Rehmannia glutinosa), and Angelica (Angelica sinensis). It is traditionally indicated for gynecological conditions such as irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, and postpartum weakness, functioning to replenish qi and blood and regulate menstruation. In modern clinical research, the pill is being evaluated for its potential to treat hyperuricemia in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and is closely related to tablet formulations being studied for diminished ovarian reserve and premature ovarian insufficiency.
