Tongshu Capsules (痛舒胶囊) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hospital preparation developed by the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University. It is formulated to treat acute closed soft tissue injuries, such as sprains, strains, and contusions, as well as chronic musculoskeletal conditions like osteoarthritis. The preparation typically contains extracts from *Aconitum bullulatum* var. *homotrichum* (Dianzhong Wutou), *Panax notoginseng* (Sanqi), and other components. Its pharmacological effects include promoting blood circulation to remove stasis, reducing swelling, and providing significant analgesic and anti-inflammatory relief. The drug is currently undergoing a Phase 4 clinical trial in China to evaluate its efficacy and safety for pain relief and functional recovery in patients with acute knee, wrist, or calf injuries.
