TONKA is a multi-ingredient herbal medicine developed by Nhat Nhat Pharmaceutical Company. It is composed of traditional Vietnamese herbs including White Peony (Bạch thược), Atractylodes macrocephala (Bạch truật), Licorice (Cam thảo), Phyllanthus urinaria (Diệp hạ châu), Codonopsis pilosula (Đảng sâm), Angelica sinensis (Đương quy), Artemisia capillaris (Nhân trần), Poria (Phục linh), and Citrus reticulata (Trần bì). TONKA is being investigated in a Phase IIIb clinical trial for its efficacy in lowering elevated hepatic enzymes (ALT and AST) in patients with moderate to severe liver function disorders. It is administered orally and aims to support liver health, promote detoxification, and regenerate liver cells, addressing symptoms associated with various liver conditions.
