Overview

TOP-M119 is a novel small molecule drug candidate developed for the treatment of alopecia, including androgenic alopecia and chemotherapy-induced hair loss. It acts as a dual-mode vasodilator by activating the cGMP-enzyme regulatory system, thereby increasing blood flow to hair follicles and supporting hair regrowth. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that TOP-M119 is significantly more potent than standard treatments such as minoxidil, with a faster onset of action and improved local tolerability. The drug has been formulated for topical application and can also be delivered via dissolving microneedle systems to enhance targeted delivery to hair follicles while minimizing systemic exposure. Development efforts are led by Topadur Pharma in collaboration with Oshen Holdings, focusing on both liquid topical formulations and intradermal sustained release systems.
