TOP5668

TOP5668 is an investigational **small molecule** dihydropyrazole compound developed by **TocopheRx** as an **oral follicle stimulating hormone receptor agonist** for female infertility. It is designed as a **selective allosteric agonist** of the follicle stimulating hormone receptor, with reported lack of activity at related glycoprotein hormone receptors such as luteinizing hormone chorionic gonadotropin receptor and thyroid stimulating hormone receptor. In preclinical studies, TOP5668 was reported to be more potent than TOP5300 in stimulating estradiol production from human granulosa cells and to show follicular development activity comparable to recombinant follicle stimulating hormone in animal models. The program is intended to provide an oral alternative to injectable follicle stimulating hormone products for ovulation induction and controlled ovarian stimulation used in assisted reproduction.
