Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Topepegfilgrastim is a long-acting PEGylated recombinant granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) analog being developed by Xiamen Tebao Biological Engineering (Amoytop Biotech). It functions as an agonist of the G-CSF receptor (CSF3R), stimulating the proliferation, differentiation, and activation of neutrophils. The drug is specifically designed for the prevention of febrile neutropenia in patients undergoing myelosuppressive chemotherapy. By utilizing PEGylation technology to modify the recombinant protein, topepegfilgrastim achieves a prolonged half-life, allowing for reduced dosing frequency compared to first-generation G-CSF treatments. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development, representing a distinct pipeline candidate from the company's previously approved G-CSF product, Telpegfilgrastim.
