toperfilgrastim

Toperfilgrastim is a long-acting, PEGylated recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (PEG-rhG-CSF) developed by CSPC Pharmaceutical Group. It consists of recombinant human G-CSF (filgrastim) covalently linked to a 20 kDa polyethylene glycol (PEG) molecule. This modification increases the protein's hydrodynamic radius, thereby reducing renal clearance and extending its circulating half-life, allowing for once-per-chemotherapy-cycle dosing. Toperfilgrastim acts as an agonist at the granulocyte colony-stimulating factor receptor (G-CSFR), stimulating the proliferation, differentiation, and activation of neutrophil precursors in the bone marrow. It is primarily used for the prevention of chemotherapy-induced neutropenia and febrile neutropenia in patients with non-myeloid malignancies receiving myelosuppressive anti-cancer drugs. It was approved by the China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in 2011 and is marketed under the brand name Jinyouli.
