Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Topisal-MF is a topical combination ointment developed by Systopic Laboratories for the treatment of severe, dry, and scaly dermatological conditions, such as psoriasis, eczema, and contact dermatitis. It is formulated with a synergistic blend of active ingredients: clobetasol propionate, salicylic acid, lactic acid, sodium lactate, and urea. Clobetasol propionate is a superpotent topical corticosteroid that binds to the glucocorticoid receptor to suppress inflammatory pathways, reducing redness, swelling, and itching. Salicylic acid, lactic acid, and urea act as keratolytic agents and humectants that break down keratin clumps, promote the desquamation of dead skin cells, and deeply hydrate the skin. This keratolytic action also enhances the penetration and efficacy of clobetasol propionate into the deeper epidermal layers.
