Overview
TOR-103 is a small molecule inhibitor of the mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR), developed by Tornado Therapeutics. It is part of a new generation of mTOR inhibitors designed to have improved selectivity and safety profiles compared to earlier agents in this class. The drug is being investigated primarily for the treatment of viral respiratory tract infections and neoplasms (cancers). As of June 2025, it remains in preclinical development, with no clinical trial data yet available. The mechanism involves inhibition of mTOR, a serine/threonine-protein kinase that regulates cell growth, proliferation, metabolism, and survival[1][3][4].
