Toripalimab is a humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody that targets the PD-1 (programmed death-1) receptor, functioning as an immune checkpoint inhibitor to restore anti-tumor T-cell activity. In the specific clinical context led by Peking University Cancer Hospital, toripalimab is being evaluated in combination with the FOLFSIM regimen for the treatment of advanced or metastatic neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC).
