Drug intelligence / Profile preview
toripalimab + QL1101 is an investigational combination therapy being evaluated for the treatment of pMMR/MSS refractory metastatic colorectal cancer. Toripalimab (JS001) is a humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody developed by Shanghai Junshi Biosciences that targets the programmed death-1 (PD-1) receptor to restore T-cell anti-tumor activity. QL1101, developed by Qilu Pharmaceutical, is a biosimilar of bevacizumab that targets vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), thereby inhibiting tumor angiogenesis. This combination is being studied in a Phase 2 clinical trial sponsored by the Second Affiliated Hospital, School of Medicine, Zhejiang University, with the aim of overcoming the typical resistance of microsatellite stable (MSS) colorectal cancers to single-agent immune checkpoint inhibitors by modulating the tumor microenvironment through anti-angiogenic therapy.
